He was born in Vancouver on May 26, 1927. George was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen, his eldest daughter Janet, and all his ten siblings.
He is survived by his daughters Linda Mae Benitez (Gonzalo) and Dawn Marie McDougall (Donald), by his son-in-law David McMillan (Janet), grandchildren Nicole Doolan (Sean), Daryl McMillan (Jessica), Craig McMillan (Shay), Michael Benitez (Jess), Christopher Benitez (Jade), Matthew Benitez (Morgan), Cody McDougall (Sarah) and his great-grandchildren, Grayson, Rylan, Everly, Georgia, Hunter, Nico and London.
George led an exemplary life and was loved by all of his many friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on May 31, 2024, at the Fraser Heights Funeral Home located at 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC. Reception to follow.
