With sympathy to Tom's family.  Parkwood was a better place because of Tom.  Not only was he a Council member as recently as last summer, but he was part of the volunteer maintenance crew working on small and large jobs around the complex.  The men enjoyed the camaraderie while helping to keep Parkwood the lovely place we're happy to call home.  It was always a treat to see Gibson when he was visiting, out with the work crew.  It was clear that he and Tom had a special bond.  Tom will be missed.       Florence Williams   Comox

Ken and I are sorry for your loss. It is a difficult time when you lose a family member and our thoughts are with Tom's family. We knew Tom for many years and appreciated his hard work on behalf of Parkwood Estates. I served with him on council and appreciated his many abilities: his organizational skills, his calmness, his friendliness, his kindness and generosity to mention just some of his attributes. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of Tom's family as you each deal with his passing.  As difficult as this time is, know that Tom will always be with you in your memories of him.  Tom was a special neighbour and friend.   His help by serving on our strata council or doing small maintenance jobs throughout the complex will always be appreciated.  Denis will miss all the little chats as the two of them discussed life, politics and things to do to help keep our strata in wonderful condition.

Our condolences go out to all of Tom's family. This is a very sad time for everyone but Tom will always be remembered as a gentle and kind person that always cared for others. He loved his family and cared for his friends. Even though we really got to know Tom in his later years in Courtenay, Tom & I actually go back to our High School years in Calgary as fraternity brothers. When we first moved to the Comox Valley we lived next door to Tom, we became friends and would go golfing at Crown Isle with Tom's friends from Fort Mac. and Robin would look after Gibson if he was staying with Tom.

Very sad news.Our condolences to Tom's family. Lots of great memories from Syncrude, Fort Mac. and Comox. Fondest memory was on the golf course at Crown Isle asking Tom how things were and he replied his daughter called asking him to look after their dog Gibson,my reply was for how long and Tom with a little laugh and a smile said hopefully a year.

My condolences to Tom's family. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Tom was a lovely man. I also ran many miles with him in our little Fort McMurray running group. He was our unofficial leader providing constant motivation to us all. May he Rest in Peace.
