I met Everett a few years back online. Just started chatting as I was interested in motorcycles too. We never met in person but I knew he was a great person just from talking with him. He was clearly an extremely proud dad and loved his kids so very much. When I heard of his passing, I was so shocked and dismayed that I never got the chance to know him better. I did however want to share that he was a special guy who left an impression on me and he crossed my mind often. RIP brother

I am so saddened by this news......to your sons , your family, friends and co-workers and all those who had the privilege of knowing you sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers.  You were an amazing person and this is such a tragedy. I am heartbroken and shocked to learn of your passing.  You are in a  better place  looking down on all those you so dearly loved and cared about. You will be greatly missed. RIP Everett

Losing Everett is devastating; he will be missed dearly. If there is any such thing as a “silver lining” to this tragedy, it would be for each of us to step up for safety. Step up the way Everett often did, always looking out and trying to do the right thing. Choose to take action; something as simple as alerting a coworker or foreman to a hazard or concern could save a life.

Boys, your father was a hell of a man. He was an excellent mechanic. He was certainly very very proud of you three.  My heart breaks knowing he is physically gone from your lives. He will watch over you though. He will always be proud and he is there, his love, is there for you.

My dear friend what a send off today.  Loved and respected by so many! I’m still having a hard time saying good bye to you.  So I’m not going to!  I will keep you in my memories.  I remember soon after I started grade 5 in Old Yale  Road Elementary school I developed quite the crush on you, I even kept a valentine card you gave me one year!  Well everyone got one but mine was special to me.  You had such a kind soul and funny sense of humour everyone loved you.  I’m not surprised of the great man and father you grew into.  I’m honoured to have known you.
My thoughts and prayers are with your boys and family.  Rest peacefully Everett you will be sorely missed.

Ev you were loved by so many. I remember growing up at Old Yale running around those streets. You were a good friend to many but above else you were an excellent father. Every memory from childhood to young adults are filled with you. RIP wonderful man. Wishing your boys strength and love as they move on and navigate this world without you! Love you always.

A tragic accident stopped a wonderful heart from beating. 
I had the privilege of working with Everett for many years.    It was so easy to become his friend.  We shared a lot of laughs and stories. Thankfully i have many fond memories  of this wonderful friend.  Even at this devastating time, Everett can still put a smile on my face. 
I will never forget his devotion to his 3 sons   They were his world. 
It didn’t matter how difficult or stressful some things were, all I had to ask was “how are your boys”. Without hesitation he’d flash a great big smile and start talking about them. The utter delight that showed in his face was priceless—every time.  Everett was  always respectful, kind and genuinely interested in others lives.
 He gave his all in raising his boys.   Seeing all the tributes given, I pray they will gather the strength needed to get through this tragedy.  Rest In Peace Dear Friend. Thanks for the memories💔😢

I met Everett in 1991 when we were both 17 years old   He was a funny and laid back kid that was able to befriend people from all different walks of life.  Everett was a natural people person and it was my honour to have called "Elwood" one of my close friends especially during the teenage years.  Everett led a very good life and has left his legacy in so many important ways.  We had some big laughs together that I will always cherish.  Also his unique, genuine and unforgettable laugh is something many of us will not forget.  What a caring and devoted  person to have known.   God bless, rest in peace brother. 

I have so many good memories of time spent with Everett the past couple years. We took all the kids swimming, bowling, mini-golfing, go-carting, to movies and the drive-in and shared meals and laughs together. Everett and I spent time with friends at parties and dance nights and on our own going to shows like cirque du soleil, cruising on the river boat or just out for a walk. I am so glad he came to San Francisco with me this past spring. He had always wanted to go there and loved seeing Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge. We rode the hop on hop off bus and saw everything we could in the few days we were there. We had to find the Harley store of course so he could get another t-shirt! He was thoughtful and caring to me and my children, always suprising me with flowers or little gifts and sending me texts that he was thinking of me. He helped teach my daughter to drive, gave her a special necklace for her 18th birthday and took my son to soccer practice when I had a conflict. He would always look after my dog Sparky when I had to go out of town and Sparky loved going there. My kids loved when he would cook meals for us all as he loved spending hours making a meal and marinating his meat for days.  He was a special man that I will carry in my heart always and remember the good times we had. I am sure he is watching over us all...

Everett,  you made a definite impact on the people who were lucky enough to spend time in your presence, even for just a little bit.  Your warm smile and big heart will never be forgotten, and neither will your dance moves. We were so happy to welcome you to our dance nights and parties, and will think of you often.

Everett, you will be missed. Although I have only known you a short while, your big heart, kind, caring and generous nature truly were always forefront. I will always remember you as a family-oriented gentleman who always treated others well. The world has lost someone who was a gift to so many people.

You will be missed Everett.

Everett was fun, energetic, social, kind and caring and will be missed by the gang on the dance floor.  There weren’t too many songs he didn’t like to dance to.   He often spoke of his sons, and his love, pride and devotion of his kids.  My heart goes out to his children.  

My deepest condolences to all of Everett’s family, friends & co-workers.

It was an honour to call you Friend and Brother. 

It was always a pleasure to have Everett on my crew  at Delta Port.  He was always in a good mood and was very good at his trade .  We will all miss him .

I am so heartbroken for his family.  Everett was such a great guy! So kind hearted, so smart and he had such dedication and enormous love for his 3 boys. I will miss our long conservations on the phone, I will miss my friend.  

Everett coached my son, together with his own son, little Everett, in baseball for two years. Ryder loved coach Everett. He was always so encouraging and patient with the kids.   

With our kids in the same school and living in the same community, I saw Everett and the kids around lots. He always had time for a friendly hello and chat. I am so sad for his family’s loss.
