It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty, on December 26, 2023, at the age of 83, following a battle with dementia.
She is survived by her loving husband Gary, her son Brian, daughter Lisa, and grandchildren Chase, Rylee, and Cole. Betty also leaves behind sisters Catherine and Lorraine, as well as her niece Tracey and nephews Rick and Craig.
Betty is predeceased by her father Edward Frey, mother Elizabeth Frey (Cowan), nephews Walter and Jeff, father-in-law Lloyd Anderson, and mother-in-law Carola Anderson.
Betty was born in Duncan, British Columbia, and later moved to New Westminster. While working at Woodward’s after high school, she met Gary whom she married on October 23rd, 1964. They moved to North Delta where they built a home and started a family. In those years, Betty enjoyed gardening, attending diamond nights with friends, as well as volunteering time at Meals on Wheels and Surrey Memorial Hospital’s gift shop.
Betty loved spending time at Shuswap Lake, travelling in her RV with Gary, going on cruises, and being with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished every moment with her loved ones.
Celebration of life will be held on Sunday February 25, 2024 at 1:00pm at Fort Langley Golf Course, 9782 McKinnon Cres. Langley BC.
