Dorothy Johnston (nee Smith) was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 21. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Glen Morley Johnston; their children - David (Patti), Philip (Sherry), Roderick (Rhonda), Annette (Steven) Postman; and grandchildren - Christine, Nicholas, Jenna and John.
Glen and his “Dot” met at a dance in England and became inseparable. They built a life together in Vancouver. Dorothy worked tirelessly keeping their home and raising their four children who, together with her grandchildren, were her pride and joy. Dorothy was a gracious hostess whose annual Boxing Day open house was a favourite of friends and family. In her spare time, she was an avid knitter and gardener. In recent years, Dorothy and Glen loved to travel the open road with their fifth-wheel in tow. She will be remembered as a very kind and loving woman who brought much joy.
