He is survived by his ever loving wife, Judy, sons Scott (Rob), Trent (Tina) and his 2 granddaughters, Dailynne (Alan) and Hayley.
Don was a lifelong resident of the Vancouver area having lived in Burnaby, Vancouver, and for the last 40
years, in South Surrey.
His career was spent entirely at the City of Vancouver, starting out in data processing in the '50s and
retiring decades later as the City Treasurer.
Retirement, however, did not mean the opportunity to slow down!
Don was always on the go, whether helping out a friend, taking small jobs here and there that peaked his
interest or travelling the world.
If it was October, Don and Judy were gone! There is not a corner of the globe that they did not discover
together.
Of course, Don's greatest joy was always family. Birthdays, special celebrations, holidays, impromptu get
togethers, Don was always there......camera in tow!!!
His family meant everything, and more, to him.
Finally, we would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the outstanding care Don received during the last 2
years at The Residences at Morgan Heights. In particular, Lanie, and her team in Promenade West. Their
care and compassion for "Mr. D." is beyond words that his family will be ever grateful for.
Dad, it's been a great life. Now it's time for you to put on your best kilt, pour yourself a wee dram of your
favourite scotch and finally relax.
You deserve it.
And please give a hug to all those around you that we wish we could hold in our arms just one more
time.
We love you more than you'll ever know!
Until we meet again
