I was fortunate to meet Carla and Ron through a minor vehicle incident when their car stalled in White Rock. We got their car to the side of the road and called BCAA.

The wait was going to be over 2 hours so I took them to our home. My wife had fresh baked cookies coming out of the oven so we gave them tea and cookies until BCAA called.

That was the start of our friendship. We had Carla and Ron over for dinners before his passing and carried on the tradition after her move into the Pacific Carleton.

Through Carla we met what became the gang of three (Carla, Beryl and Margaret) and enjoyed having them over for evenings out which we'll miss

Carla was born in Australia and died in Canada.  She loved both countries and had many friends in each.  As a lifelong friend I will miss her for the rest of my own life.  Her ashes will rest beside her parents, Carl & Doll Carlson, here in Australia as her beloved husband's ashes at his request were scattered in Vancouver.  She lived her life fully appreciating all those who were part of it and the privilege of dual nationality.  She only had a very small family and sadly many of those close to her have gone before her but she has left so many memories behind.  A dedicated Christian she will now be at peace after a time of illness. Goodbye dear friend.
