Survived by wife Thelma, children Paul and Michelle, brother Murray (late sister in law Dianne) and nieces Diana (Eric) and Carole (Bob).
Born and raised in Victoria BC by parents Gordon and Phyllis Wooldridge.
Growing up, Brian was active in sports, he was known to be a great basketball and lacrosse player for his Victoria High school teams.
When he was 19, Brian moved to Vancouver BC where he met his wife of 63 years, Thelma and they had two wonderful children, Paul and Michelle.
Having a young family, Brian started a career in the sales business. He started out as a sales rep, then promoted to Western sales manager, where he assembled a legendary sales team.
“Wooly”, “Mad Dog” and “Bondo” were known as the “Best in the West”. They put up big sales numbers in their territory but more importantly built great friendships between them that lasted a life time.
In 1983 Brian started his own sales company Brima Sales Ltd ( a blend of Brian and Thelma), where he started his own brand, Quality Plus Valu (black, red and white label). Brian was always looking out for the everyday consumer and felt people shouldn’t have to pay high prices for grocery items. Brian was well respected in the sales industry, always looking to help out or mentor the next guy. He was generous, funny, positive and a kind hearted man. In his travels he made a memorable impression with everyone he met, making new friends along the way. These would be friendships that would continue even after everyone had retired.
Outside of work, it was family, friends and Blaine WA. is what Brian loved the most. He spent all his weekends in Blaine, playing tennis, having BBQ’s, drinking beers and listening to country music.
Blaine was his paradise, where he could just relax and enjoy the ocean view, sunsets and birds. Everyone was always welcome to come on down and join him as he said it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere.
Brian, you are great man, husband, father and friend, who is loved and will be deeply missed. We all will pop a top and throw back a Colorado Kool Aid in your honor, Cheers!
