Chrissie was a beautiful woman, who lived a life of service to her family. As she aged, she exhibited an iron determination to carry on, despite health issues. As such, she set the standard for how to live life in the face of challenges. For those family members who maintained contact with her, she was always kind, thoughtful and interested in what we were doing.  She was always sending cards for birthdays and special events, and she regularly called on the telephone to keep up with family news. 

We are blessed to have been part of her life. 

Wendell Berry wrote: "It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey." 

In the face of obstacles, Chrissie worked as hard as any person we have known.  As she begins her real journey into eternity, we cheer her on. Fare thee well. Until we meet again.
