Anne so sorry to hear of the passing of Tim.  Enjoyed my time I spent with him on the HQs Staff he was truly a professional and a great person to work with. Lifting up your family in prayer during this time of sorrow. 

Such a loss to the community. I'll see you on the other side old man! 

I wish that I had known Tim better, and the memorial photos brought back a lot of memories. 
Met him while stationed at Okinawa (Oct 89-Dec 94), and he was at Hicham. We ran into each other during the first Gulf war moving around filling spots at different locations till re-deploying back to PACAF. 
Tim was solid through and through, and will not forget that he came to San Antonio for my son's funeral, very much appreciated.
Praying for Tim's wife, children and grandbabies.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Tim's passing.  'Raz' was one of a kind and such a hoot to work with & be around. He was always up and just recalling his sense of humor, even today it makes me laugh out loud! We were stationed together in NM and together again in Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  I'm so sorry-

You were the best dad and friend. I will forever miss you. I am so grateful to have been your daughter. I will cherish every memory and do my best to continue living my life in a way that will make you proud. Aloha, a hui hou. 

Today we remember an old highschool buddy (and fellow Boeing Brat) of Dave's and a friend of ours since about 1973/74 from Kimball NE. 

Today he will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of AZ in Phoenix.  This afternoon we attend his Celebration of Life and will have the honor of meeting family members and friends that also knew Tim.  Those who served with him and those who knew him and who Tim made laugh.  

Dave and Tim were roommates in Great Falls about 1977.  He was in our wedding in 79.  

He married Ann, the love of his life.  We visited them in Sterling CO when Ann was pregnant with their first child, Amanda.  It was because of the bond Tim and Ann shared with her pregnancy that Dave and I changed our conversation from not wanting children of our own to maybe we are missing out on something truly special.  They had a son Gabe and raised those  two children, often overseas,  as Tim served his country. 

We reconnected many years ago when he was stationed on Albuquerque.  He had joined a hot air balloon team.  He was going to be at a balloon rally in CO the same weekend we happened to be in CO visiting Dave's sister.  He said he'd get us a ride if we came down.   We had the experience of a lifetime, thanks to Tim 

When we retired and came to AZ in Nov 2018, we reconnected with he and Ann again.  They have visited us each winter east of Phoenix or we drove to see them west of Phoenix. 

 This season Tim passed very unexpectedly.   I had said to Dave just 10 days prior that we need to get together with them.    We were well meaning.  We are saddened.

Please pray for Tim's family today.  They have sacrificed much for our country as the family of an American serviceman.  They shared a man they loved who loved his country.  Today will be a hard day for them.  Many hard days will follow.  

We count ourselves fortunate to have all the memories we have and to have been able to keep reconnecting.  Tim was as much fun in his 60's as he was in his teens.  

My favorite times with Tim was on the golf course.  He always thought the lawnmower man was always following him to throw his game off.    And he always did that Simpsons cartoon laugh.  Miss you brother….

Tim Berry was my best man when my wife at the time and I were married. Tim was a brother to me and that is how I remember him as my brother Tim.  I miss Tim already as over the years we had a pretty good relationship, he would send me some information over Facebook and I would send some back to him. His family Ann, Amanda, Gabe, his sisters and grandchildren are extended family to me.  God Keep and Bless Tim through all eternity!


In Tim I found both friend and ally. Some years later he became a much loved brother-in-law. Throughout his life I knew him to be a man of the highest caliber and integrity. A patriot. His unwaivering devotion to his family was eclipsed only by his love for them! How blessed was I to have known him these many years!  He lives on!!!...    Joni

I was blessed getting to know Tim when we were teens he was even an inspiration back then.  He worked hard to gain weight so he could join the Air Force as he was a skinny young man.  I will always miss you my brother.  Thank you for everything.

Tim and I first met as young EOD teammates during Team Spirit '86, Kunsan AB, ROK. We got into all sorts of shenanigans on that trip, but I also remember our team being among the last ones standing after the I.G. threw everything they had at us. That's how it was in those days, and Tim epitomized that work-hard/play-hard warrior ethos.  Tim retained that same warrior ethos and authenticity while taking on greater leadership roles and staff positions as he advanced in his career. I've always said that Tim is the most universally loved and respected EOD tech there ever was. Tim, I will miss you--it was my honor and privilege to serve with you and call you my brother and friend.  We Remember...  

On behalf of the Dutch JTAC community, our sincere condolances. We often trained on the Berry M. Goldwater Range during the time that Tim was working at the Range Management Office.

We will remeber him!
