On August 7th, 2023, Sharon Bornhoeft passed away in Surprise, Arizona. She was 85. Sharon lived most of her life in Seattle, Washington before moving to Arizona in 1999 to retire happily in the sunshine alongside the love of her life, Fred.
A one of a kind woman - Sharon proudly worked as an actress for most of her life. She loved acting almost as much as she loved her family, and spending time with what she called her ‘YaYa Sisterhood’- her family of all daughters, and granddaughters.
Sharon’s prolific acting career spanned decades and ranged from stage, to TV, to film, to Voiceover work. While her accolades are aplenty-including several Arizona awards (Guest Actor in a Play- 2004, Guest Actor in a Musical- 2004, Supporting Actress- 2009), she was most proud of her stage work with her husband, Fred, whom she met playing Queen to his King in a 1985 stage production of Cinderella. Fred and Sharon gleefully worked together throughout their 35+ year marriage both on and off the stage, including cherished homespun annual Christmas shows starring her grandchildren.
Sharon is proceeded in death by her parents John and Jean, and her brother Pat. She is survived by her husband Fred, her daughters Kristi (Jon), Kathi (Marty) and Kelli. She also leaves behind her granddaughters Tara (Travis), Kelsey (Tyler), Alix (Michael), Sydney and Rachel (Greg), and her great grandchildren Owen, Parker, Ellie, Benny, Sawyer, and Colton.
Sharon was very loved, and her family will miss her dearly.
