Michael was a great kid who loved the Lord and was filled with joy! I was always delighted when my son would bring him over to hang out. He was such a kind, caring, and respectful young man. I was very thankful that my son had a friend like him.  Watching my son, Zeke, and Michael grow in the Lord as they studied His word together did this mama's heart so much good!  I also loved watching them both grow in their athletic abilities as they learned how to pole vault in high school.  I cheered for him just as hard as I cheered for my son. They truly brought out the best in each other!  During their high school years, Michael became a part of our family. He was always up for an adventure! He went with us to the lava tube cave in Flagstaff and had many adventures with us while camping or hiking.  I greatly appreciated how he always looked at the positive side of things even when there were hard things to deal with. That was his gift. He always had a contagious smile.  Bonnie, Matt and family, I know that things will never be the same.  Living your lives without him is going to be hard. May your hearts be comforted by knowing that his memory will live on in the lives of the people he touched with his beautiful spirit.  And may you have peace in knowing that we will see him again. Michael is in a place with no more pain and no more tears.  And his joy has been made full!

Bonnie and Matt I am so very sorry for your loss.  It pains me when a parent loses a child so early in the child's life.  He could have been a far greater man if he would have been able to grow up.  I guess it's true that only the good die young.  In Michael's case it's only the great.  May God bless you two and your family and keep Michael safe in His arms.

I knew Michael from middle school and he was one of my closest friends. He always knew how to make me and everyone else smile. I remember playing basketball with him at recess whenever we got the chance or just a simple chat in the hallway before classes, a couple of my friends and I would go to his soccer games and cheer him on. One valentine’s day he gave me a necklace that he made himself, I still have it to this day as well as a photograph from when we went to Uptown Alley, which has been hanging in my room ever since.  He is someone I will never forget, his laugh was so contagious and he was always filled with jokes and laughter, he definitely made an impact on my life and it was an honor being his friend. He will forever be missed and we will see each other again someday.

He brought great joy into my life when there was dark he brought light.  He’s one of those people who will leave a mark on you and you will want to remember forever. He was one of my first friends and will always be remembered by me. thank you to his family for raising such an extraordinary young man, it was an honor to get to know and grow with him. He will forever be in our hearts and forever be missed.

I met Michael on his first day working at Autonation. From that day he was always an amazing friend. There was never a dull moment when it came to hanging out and working with him. We used to go to south Phoenix together to pick up police vehicles when they needed to be fixed. He was always the first person I’d call to go on a test drive. Every morning he would be outside working, I would come into work and he would completely stop what he was doing just to say hi to me. Never once did I ever hear a bad thing come out of his mouth. He only had good, positive things to say about anything. I wish I could’ve known him longer than I did. It absolutely breaks my heart that he’s gone. He became my best friend in such a little amount of time. I wish I could’ve have met his family. He always spoke good about his family. I couldn’t just share a moment because of how amazing a friend he truly was. He will forever be loved and missed. 

Michael was always full of laughter, he never let anyone say or hint a negative thing about themselves. He strived to see smiles and hear laughter. He spoke his true heart. 

Michael was my best friend since grade school he was always there. We did absolutely everything together I will always remember how much love he had for everyone. We spend weeks at a time together worked 2 jobs with him went to the same school always going places new adventures in our spare time staying up all night watching movies or going out and just enjoying life. I couldn’t have asked for a better friend then Michael. He was and always will be my brother. He was so kind hearted and loved so much. I remember every single time no matter time or day you would call him and he would always with a great attitude awnser “what’s cooking good lookin” never a dull or hurtful moment with Mike around.Michael you will forever hold a place in my heart and I know I will see you again my brother.
