Marion Almedia Bonds

Marion Bonds was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 19, 1924. The daughter of the late Earl Mack Mosley and the late Clara Young. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Bonds, sisters – Earline Mosley and Helen Tillmon, brothers – Adelbert Earl Mosley and Enil Mosley. She was baptized at an early age and remained a loyal Christian until her death.

Marion is survived by her children, Shelia Dawkins (Roosevelt), Deborah Berry (Alex), Lawrence Bonds, Judith Dennard and Garrick Bonds; her grandchildren, Shawanna Germany (Gus), Shalita Hartwell (Fredrick), Karamo Hayward (Kristie), Laketia Wells (Fred), Tyrhien Brown-Smith, Manik Bowie (Johnny), Lameka Branner, Garrick McGee, Antoine Q. Dennard, Garricka Bonds, Donielle Dennard, Cheyenne Berry, Lawrence Bonds, Jr. and 40 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Not only was she a mother to her five children, she spent her life giving love and affection to others; and especially to her cousins, nieces and nephews, who regarded her as their second “Mom”.

Marion loved to prepare meals for family and friends and enjoyed traveling. Her sense of humor and delightful stories will be dearly missed.
