Linda Gail McKinley died April 6, 2025, at the age of 84. Gail was born on September 24, 1940, in Casa Grande, AZ to Eva Mae (Meador) Riley and Franklin Lewis Riley and graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1958. On January 10, 1959, Gail married Archie McKinley, and they had two children, Steve and Stacie.
Gail was a loving mother and homemaker, who placed high importance on education and was continually taking college courses throughout the early years of her marriage. In 1984, Gail graduated with honors from Arizona State University receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. In 1994, she earned her Master of Education degree from Northern Arizona University. She also earned her Reading Specialist Endorsement and taught school for 13 years at Stanfield Elementary School. Gail and Archie lived for 51 years in the home they built on ten acres in Chandler, Arizona. They moved to Waddell, Arizona in 2021 to live near their daughter Stacie and son-in-law Brett.
Gail was preceded in death by son Steven McKinley and grandson Cody Archuleta. Her survivors include her husband of 66 years, Archie, daughter Stacie Cameron, son-in-law Brett Cameron, four grandsons: Ryan Archuleta and wife Caylee, Tyler Archuleta, Dylan Archuleta, Andrew Cameron, and seven great grandchildren: Ella Archuleta, Brahm Archuleta, Weslie Archuleta, Cheyanne Cameron, Ryland Cameron, Grayson Cameron and Zayden Cameron.
Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd, Surprise, Arizona.
