Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force he joined Sperry Vickers based in Troy, Michigan. He retired from Sperry Vickers after man long years of service in 1994 and then worked for Sy Technologies to help fill his retirement years.
Joseph enjoyed playing and watching golf. He also, enjoyed watching sports, particularly his Yankees and Giants; In addition he enjoyed watching collegiate sports, particularly Michigan football.
He was a loving husband, father, and grand-father; and who's memory will be cherished by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents George N. and Philomena M., nee Franco, Vacca; and his brother, Raymond G. Vacca.
Surviving are his wife, Ida G. Vacca; and his two daughters, Jacqueline Schneider of Boulder, Co; Veronica Vacca-Konzen of Fairview Heights, IL; his granddaughters, Stephanie, Marielle, and Kelli Jo; His brother George Vacca; and other relatives and friends.
