Jeanne Ellen Joyce

Jeanne E. Joyce, 73, of Surprise, passed away with family by her side, on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Jeanne was born in Winona, MN, on December 6, 1942, to the late Henry and Alice Dotterwick. Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband Dan, who lovingly cared for her as her health declined. Married on November 26, 1966, they were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Jeanne is also survived by her sister, Judy Helland; two children, Jennifer Arvia (Mike) and Kevin (Lindsay); and three grandchildren, Luke, Charlotte and Owen Arvia; all of whom loved her dearly. Jeanne’s greatest joy was her family. She loved taking cruises with her husband and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and was most happy when she was dancing. Jeanne was determined to live life to the fullest despite having the debilitating disease, Scleroderma, for 30 years. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Services for Jeanne will be held Monday, March 7, 2016, with a celebration of life at 9:00 am at Surprise Funeral Care 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, Arizona 85374, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 17111 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, Arizona 85374.
