Harvey David Watson

He was a loving son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, coach and friend to many, his presence will be deeply missed by all. Harvey was born on April 12, 1962, in Bilwaskarma, Nicaragua to his parents Harvey and Yolie Watson, alongside his siblings Abraham and Daisy.

He went on to attend Cal State Fullerton to obtain his degree in Horticulture, later becoming a Superintendent at Pacific Coast Maintenance. Harvey left an impression throughout his career as he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

More than anything, Harvey’s greatest accomplishment was being a father and grandfather. Nothing brought him more joy than his family. Time spent with his children was treasured, whether he was taking them to their football practices and games, together at a family gathering or sharing stories and laughs, he loved every moment. He was always a constant in their lives to offer guidance, support, encouragement and love, no matter what challenges they faced.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Harvey. The sounds of the ocean gave him happiness, he relished planning his next escape to the beach where many cherished memories were made with coach Rafael Sanchez.

Harvey is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Mary I. Watson, his children, Chris, Jeremiah, Jonathan, Jacob, Joseph, and his grandchildren, Christopher, Ethan, Jaeden, Jesse, and Damian, his mother Yolie, his sister Daisy, and brother Abraham. He was preceded in passing by his father Harvey, son Harvey, and grandson Josiah.

Harvey’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be remembered in our hearts through memories we shared with him, though physically gone, he will always be with us in spirit.

The family welcomes all who are able to attend and join the upcoming services to celebrate and honor Harvey’s life. A viewing service will be held from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Thursday June 15, 2023, at Surprise Funeral Care 16063 W. Bell Rd Surprise, AZ 85374. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church 17111 W. Bell Rd Surprise, AZ 85374.
