Gregory Charles Harris

Gregory C. Harris, of Surprise, Arizona passed away at the age of 74 after a valiant battle with cancer. Greg was born on December 9, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan where he spent most of his life. He spent 4 years in the USAF in Idaho, then returned to his beloved Michigan. There he began and enjoyed a 40 year airline career beginning with North Central, then Republic, and finally Northwest Airlines. He was in customer service and worked in 7 stations all over the US before retiring in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006. After retirement Greg and his wife Karen moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be near his children and grandchildren. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Phyllis Harris and sister Christina Anderson. Greg is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen Abraham Harris, son Scott Harris, daughter Sandra Cain (Ryan) and grandchildren Reilly and Ewan Cain. Greg is also survived by brother Wayne Harris (Kim) and his former spouse and mother of his children, Jackie Wardle. Greg will forever be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Never to be forgotten Greg’s beloved Blues Sisters, Jake and Elwood. There will be a celebration of Greg’s wonderful life at a later date. Any memorials may be sent to Homestead Hospice or any animal rescue organization.
