Francine Xavier Cabrini Cavazos, a beloved resident of Surprise, Arizona, was born on November 13, 1954. Francine has gained her heavenly wings too early on June 25th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Francine's journey began in Firebaugh, California, where she spent her formative years on a farm before moving to Los Angeles, where she started her life as a mother and wife.
Francine courageously fulfilled the demanding role of a Marine's wife, navigating multiple deployments while raising her children—a task often regarded as one of the most challenging within the core. She spent years of her life, dedicating herself to the profession of nursing, later transitioning to become a successful business owner. Balancing these responsibilities, she lovingly managed a warm and welcoming home, to not only her immediate family but many others. However, her greatest joy and fulfillment came from her cherished roles as a devoted mother and grandmother.
Francine was actively involved in being apart of her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed watching them grow into young adults. Francine enjoyed shopping and exploring a variation of cuisines with her loved ones.
Francine is preceded in death by her mother Mary Lou Magdaleno, her father Edward Cairo, her brother Pete Cairo, along with her beloved aunts, uncle, and cousins.
Francine is survived by her husband Marco Cavazos, Son Oscar Cavazos, her two daughters Corina Serras and Yvette Cavazos, her grandsons Xavier Cavazos, Avian Serras, Zadrian Serras, Christian Cavazos, Sebastian Cavazos, Nazaian Serras, and Dominic Cavazos, her granddaughter Mia Cavazos, her daughter and son-in-law Marcy Reyes and Alexander Serras, her stepfather Joaquin Rodriguez and her brother Edward Cairo.
Francine will be remembered for her amazing smile and contagious laugh, which could light up any room. She will always be admired for her loving ways and compassionate heart, characteristics that touched the lives of everyone she met. Whether she was offering a warm plate of food, a helping hand, or simply sharing her joy, Francine's presence made the world a brighter place. Rest in peace our beloved mama.
The family would like to thank the entire ECMO Unit staff at Banner University Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
A celebration of life information will be sent out soon.
