Aylor Stauffer

Born January 20, 1926 in Point Pleasant, WV passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 21, 2022 at 11:30 am of natural causes.

Dad is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mieko “Peggy” of 64 years, Father Fred, Mother Virgie, and Sister Alma. He is survived by his sons Fred and Chuck, Brother Ab, Sister-in-law Jo, nephews Brent (Beth), and Bruce (Kara).

He married the love of his life, Peggy, on December 8, 1952.Dad graduated Cadmus H.S. in 1943 and Weber State College, Summa Cum Laude in 1986 with a B.S. degree in History.

Dad is a veteran of the Merchant Marines where he served in WWII as a shipman on tankers that delivered fuel to Europe. He then joined the Air Force where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Retiring from the Air Force on Feb. 29, 1972 he then worked for the USPS in Ogden, UT. He retired from the USPS in April of 1990.

Dad will be remembered for his kindness, willingness to help others, friendly smile, his practical jokes, and love for gardening and keeping his yard perfectly groomed.

Dad you will be missed by many and have left a void that will never be filled. When you see her, tell mom I love and miss her so very much, as I will YOU.
