Dear Family of Alex Cameron, 
 
I started working on my BA in accounting in 1983, Alex was my advisor.  As a non traditional student and a working mother, I needed some hand holding so I didn't make any mistakes in my curriculum.  Alex was not only knowledgeable and available, he was just want I needed.  A bit non traditional himself, he guided me through my BA and ultimately with my MBA with skill and incredible humor.  He energized my interest in accounting where I did stay my entire career.  I am now retired and living on the East Coast.  I have sat at the table and steered many innovative accounting policies and became known as the "can do bean counter."  I think he would have approved.  Just a little scrappy but dedicated to the optimum outcome with minimal disruption.  I sat at the table holding my own, and often running the project next to Warton, Columbia, and Wesley College graduates. His careful handling of my curriculum has been instrumental in my career.  I continue to donate to EWU and my next contribution will be in his memory.  
 
What a great career he had, what a great man and contributor he was to thousands of students.  What an important part of my life he shaped.
