Yolanda Hope Cubillas

Yolanda Hope Cubillas, age 68, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, June 10, 2022. Yolanda was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 20, 1953 to the late Steven and Yvonne Ortiz. At the age of 40, she met the love of her life David Cubillas; they spent 28 years happily married and started a beautiful life together. Yolanda received a degree in Early Childhood Education. She spent her working years as a preschool teacher who was loved and adored by all. She retired in 2019 and has since spent her time traveling with her husband and surrounding herself with family. Yolanda enjoyed baking, shopping and spending time with family and friends, especially over a cup of Starbucks. Yolanda was a caring, selfless woman who spent most of her life thinking about others.

She is survived by her husband, David; her eight children, Gerry Gename, Tami (Tracey) Kalepp, Nikki (Chad) Carter, Elizabeth (Craig) Mathews, Chris (Tenille) Gename, Michelle Cubillas, Bridgette (Moe) Masingale, and Brian (Robinelle) Cubillas; her 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
