

William Bayard (Bill) Oesterle passed away on February 26, 2012. Born August 28, 1921, in Wilmington, Delaware, Bill spent most of his adult life working in the automobile industry, retiring in August 1986 from Don Sanderson Ford.
Bill served two tours of duty in the Army, initially enlisting in January 1942 and completing a 3 year tour of duty in the South Pacific with the 25th Infantry Division. At the outbreak of the Korean Conflict, Bill volunteered for another 3 year tour of duty, serving one year in Korea with the same unit leaving the military at the rank of Captain.
In 1946 he met and married Marjorie Mae Crinklaw of Lusk, Wyoming. She preceded him in death in April 2008 after 62 years of marriage.
Bill’s interests were his family, cars, sports and travel.
Survivors include Susan (Win) of Peoria, Richard (Theresa) of Mesa, and David (Troy) of Scottsdale, as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers but rather contributions to the charity of their choice, or Peoria Presbyterian Church, PO Box 96, Peoria, Az 85380.
Visitation begins at 12:00 noon, Friday March 2, 2012 with services at 1:00PM at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel. Military honors will be performed at a graveside service immediately following.
