Born April 2, 1918 to Frank and Bessie Meyer of Blackwater, Missouri, Virginia married Leland Wayne Horton of St. Joseph, Missouri on December 25, 1938. Virginia and her husband moved to Park Forest, Illinois in 1953 where they lived for 18 years. She and her husband Leland then lived in Sun City, Arizona, for 41 years having moved to the retirement community of Royal Oaks for the past four years.
Throughout Virginia's life, she was a student of religion and active in many church activities. She participated in Toastmistress Club, graduated from Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois, and in her later years became a Certified Graphoanalyst and taught many classes on handwriting analysis.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband Leland of Sun City, Arizona; two children, Pat Lee and husband Bob of Kansas City, Marcia Nadolny and husband Rick of Scottsdale, Arizona; four grandchildren, Colleen Stormer and husband John of Piedmont, California, Cindy Cook of Corona Del Mar, California, Brad Nadolny and wife Katie of Killeen, Texas, and Jeffrey Nadolny of Peoria, Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Clara, & Katie Stormer; two sisters, Pauline Copas (Bob Marsh) of Missouri, and Josephine Caulk (Rick) of California, and many special nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by one sister, Caroline Wolfe, and two brothers, Frank E. Meyer and John Meyer.
Virginia was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was sweetly loved and will be missed by all!
