Funny--I saw a new post added yesterday, just when I had been thinking about my dear friend and how much I miss her.  It is a wonderful thing to know how much she was loved by so many people.  Her spirit and love will be in my heart forever.  And, each time I look at the crafts she either made me do, or she made  for me, I will smile and know that my angel friend is thinking of those little moments,  also, which make friendship so special.  God bless you my friend.

Vicki was my neighbor hood girlfriend.  Even at our age, I knew she was someone special.  Your moods were uplifted by her smile and wonderful, memorable laugh!  As we graduated and married, our lives separated, and just recently I thought, "I need to find Vicki and pick up where we left off."  Sadly, I didn't do it soon enough.  She was special from day one, when I met her, and  I have read so many stories about her touching so many lives.  Yes, Vicki you were loved so very much, and the bells were ringing, very loudly, when you got you wings!!!!  I wish I had your mother's address as I would write and tell her what you meant to me....

I will always remember Vicki... my neighbor 21 years ago.  She helped me out when my wife got sick and I had a newborn baby to take care of.  I was fortunate to get back in touch with her this summer after all these years apart.  Our Love goes to her and we cherish her memory.

On this day after Thanksgiving, I am acutely aware of how blessed I am to have had a "silly sister in law" like Vicki.  I have reread all of your tributes to her kind and gentle spirit, her contagious and reverberating laugh, her brilliant smile, her leadership, her compassion, her zest for life, her love for her family and I cannot find any more fitting words or feelings to describe her.  So, today I will give thanks to our loving God for her life and for the ways in which she as affected all of us.  I will give thanks to Him for all of her extended FAA family, many of whom I feel like I know because she spoke of you so often to us.  I will give thanks to Him for all the ways in which He has lifted us up and carried us through these past weeks when we have felt lost or confused.  I will give thanks to Him for a live well lived.  I will give thanks to Him for His promise that one day we will be reunited in His kingdom (and I will hear that laugh and see that smile once again).   I will give thanks to Him for holding Vicki and all of us in the palm of His hand.

Mom, just as in life there are never enough words to expresss how much I love and appreciate you.  Everyday of my life you were always there whether it was a good day or bad, you always lifted me up higher.  I always hoped that I could repay you someday but never  felt like it would be adequate enough for all that you have done for me. Now I hope to make you proud as you look down on me being a mom to Willow. I looked forward to our daily talks, even when you were busy you took just a second to say "hello" and that was sometimes all I needed.  As it has been mentioned your warm smile and belly laughs always were welcome too.  I only hope that I can teach  the wisdom, patience and kindness that you possessed to my daughter the way you did for me.  Although you are not here on earth I will not say "goodbye" because you live on in my heart and I know you are always near.  I love you mom and friend.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Aunt Vicki was a phenomenol, beuatiful woman. Her laughter and smile was contagious. The room brightened the minute she walked in. She never hesitated to offer her support or help. My Uncle Bill said it best. She made an imprint on all the lives she touched. I truly admired her and am so thankful she was a part of my life. Her memory will be forever in our hearts and she will deeply missed.

I had the great priviledge of working with Vicki through the FAA at Renton, Washington.  As a manager, there were none better.  As a human being, none with more class, professionalism, or tenderness and consideration in her care for those under her authority.  Vicki wanted to see everyone succeed and maximize their potential whether in her personal or work life.  She would call a spade a spade, but always with a direction pointing to a positive pathway.  It was up to you whether you took it or not.  These are qualities of great leadership.  When I fell ill and my daughter and new grandchild faced very serious health issues, it was Vicki who made a way for me to retire gracefully and tend to my family and health.  She processed everything I would need.  I will never forget her kindnesses and solid support.  We do not always choose the way we enter or leave life on earth when circumstances seem to arrange themselves around us, but you can bet on the fact that Vicki is one of God's bright shining spirits; and because I am a flaming Christian, I fully expect to see her again when it is my turn to cross the river of life to a new dimension. You see, I know without a shadow of a doubt that my heavenly Father owns the land on both sides of the river and I wish that you might also have the peace of this knowledge. My heart goes out to you family and friends and co-workers as you grieve. Regardless of your own personal belief system, may you find comfort and peace in a life well lived.

Vicki left tracks on all of our hearts with her laugh and her friendship she seemed to so naturally develop  with everyone she spent any time with.  Her children were everything to her and no children could ever ask for a more dedicated Mom or Mema.  We were devastated with the loss of our son Robby, just as we all are now with the loss of Vicki. When someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.  It will be the little things we remember, the smiles, laughter and those special times shared with her that will help push away the pain and bring back the smiles again. Vicki and I were very close co-workers in Los Angeles.  I will miss her deeply.  I will always remember her infectious laugh, her kind heart, and her generous soul. A few years ago, my friend, January Stagg, kept talking about this incredible person--Vicki Hendrickson.  I thought nobody could be that great!  Then I worked with Vicki and was awed by her incredible competence and energy. She had the very unique ability to walk through political minefields with her integrity intact.  Then I worked on a special project with her.  After a long day, I became tired and wanted to quit.  (I was the lead!). Vicki stepped in and carried the ball. She was a fantastic teamplayer and partner.  Then she came to my house with January for dinner.  I didn't want her to leave--she was such a kind,lively,witty,guest and her unabashed laugh was infectious. She spoke of her beloved family constantly. My thoughts and prayers are for you--her wonderful family. I loved Vicki and came to agree with January that Vicki was one of the most phenomenal persons I have had the great joy of knowing.

Our most heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends in their time of sadness.  We didnt get the chance to know Vicki well but I am sure she brought alot of joy into everyones life that she touched.

My first time in meeting Vicki was one where I felt right at home with her hospitality and contagious smile. I have known Vicki since I started with the FAA many years ago, when she was in LA and I was in Alaska.  She was such a joy to work with, and her laugh was wonderful.  When I moved to Washington she was there to help me adjust.  My condolences to her family and many, many friends.

I've known Vicki since her days in Los Angeles, maybe a little longer than I would like to admit. I remember her for her willingness to help - whatever it was - it didn't matter. she was always there to offer her advice which I cherish to this day. 
I've travelled to Seattle quit often over the last few years and I was lucky enough to not have the weather bother me too much, because Vicki was always there to provide the sunshine to an otherwise dreay day. Looking at all the entries on the webpage so far, I am touched by all the sentiments expressed by those of my FAA family members, who will like I, miss her terribly - especially her infectious laugh that would literally light up a room. How could you not like how it made you feel when she would laugh at one of your jokes or stories.

She was such a caring person she had us feeding the homeless men at the Union Gospel Mission and collecting socks and warm clothing for them as our Service project. She has a granddaughter Cheyenne and I have a neice Shyann we talked about our deep feelings of love for them. We talked about her new granddaughter who was on the way and how excited she was about it. She came to visit me after my knee replacement surgery, she was so thoughtful.  We planned to get together when I came to Scottsdale for our sons wedding in March 2011.

Here in the FAA Regional Office we were saddened to hear that Vicki had passed away.  She will always be remembered as a kindred spirit filled with love, light, laughter and joy. It is hard to know what to say at times like these.  So many memories and thoughts rush thru one's mind.  Vicki was a tough professional in her work, but most of all she was truly a sweet and good person.  My memories of our working relationship (many years) was and is good.  I am thankful that I had the opportunity to visit with her last January.  I am sadden and offer my condolences to her family.

I will always remember your laugh and your walk.  You would walk thru so elegantly - and I remember one time in particular when you came thru my office - I called you Queen Vicki of the FAA - we laughed so hard.  I will miss you Vicki and remember you always.

I worked with Vicki for several years and will never forget her boisterous laugh and her big smile.  My heart goes out to her family.  She will be missed by many.

 I had the good fortune to have Vicki as the logisticts expert while I was the FAA Manager in Phoenix.  I was very fortunate to have such a wonderful caring person to oversee that very important program which was vital to the FAA mission.  I retired from the FAA in January 1994 and had not seen Vicki until  the middle of this year when the semi annual retired  FAA meeting took place.  I am so thankful that I got to visit with her one last time before this very unfortunate event took her from our mist. I extend my sincere condolences  to her family and convey the knowledge that we all loved and appreciated her very much and will always remember what a beatuiful person she was.
