It is with sad and heavy hearts, the family of Tom Bush are grieving his passing. Tom was incredibly healthy and lived a full life until the age of 83 years old. He was born in Ouray, Colorado. The only health issue in his lifetime was the polio he fought off when he was two years old. It was a struggle, but Tom was a fighter and survived with a slight limp. He never complained about it and was always a joyful person. Tom’s death was sudden and unexpected, which made it especially difficult for his wife and family. He was a family man. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly.
In his early years, Tom worked at a plumbing supply house. He then became a journeyman plumber, working in the trade. After years of building his skills, he and his wife Patty started and operated a plumbing business, Tom Bush Plumbing and Heating, for over 20 years. Together they built the family business and their son Tim worked in the business for many years.
Tom was a hard-working, fun-loving father and husband. Tom and Patty loved to spend time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tom loved to fish, hunt, and go camping. They had a trailer for many years which they used to travel across the country. In 2002, He and Patty retired from Colorado to Arizona. They enjoyed the warmer weather, made many new friends, and visited new places. However, Tom’s roots were in Colorado. He was a native Coloradoan, born In Ouray. Prior to his passing, they had planned to return home. As such, Tom’s final resting place will be in his home state of Colorado. Tom is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patty Bush, his sons, Chris, Tim and Jerry Bush, his grandchildren, Zach, Kylie, Courtnie, Kevin, Kate, Tim, Tanner, and Dylan Bush, and his great grandchildren, Bailey Bush, Whitley, and Teagan Estes.
