Teresa was born in Toledo, Ohio to Alphonse and Maude “Doren” Miller on Sept. 23, 1926. She was the seventh of nine children all raised in Maumee, Ohio. She attended and graduated from Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio. Post-graduation she moved to Dallas, TX and was employed by Delta Airlines. While in Texas she met, fell in love with, and married Jack Wilkerson. They moved from Texas, back to Ohio, on to California, and eventually settling in Arizona. Teri and Jack were always at each other’s side through every transition. Their marriage blessed them with four children: Damian, Catherine, Marc, and Kimberly. She also had 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, whom she enjoyed spending time with.
Teresa was an active member of Trinity Bible Church, whose members she affectionately called her “church family”. She enjoyed the bible study groups and attending the many religious and social activities at the church. Church members say she had an infectious laugh than everyone could recognize. Recently, some of her favorite things to do were watching movies on TMC, tuning in to see Shephard’s Chapel, playing cards, and going out for breakfast or lunch with her “gal pals”. Teresa also loved biking, swimming, classical music and square dancing. She also looked forward to phone calls and visits from her family.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Jack, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her 4 children, 4 grandchildren - Sasha, Ian, Tazmin and Chelsey; 3 great grandchildren - Anya, Gwen, Elijah Jade and her brother Paul Miller. The family would like to thank Banner Del Web inpatient hospice and their many dedicated employees for making Teresa’s transition of spirit peaceful, painless and comfortable.
