Ruth K Werner

Ruth Kathleen Werner, 84, of Sun City, AZ, passed peacefully on December 31, 2012. She was born in Hepburn Iowa on February 21, 1928 to Rudolph and Stella Fastenau (Nothwehr). And though always proud to say that she was an "Iowa farm girl," she moved to Lincoln Nebraska for her education, and then onto Denver Colorado, where she met her husband to be, Carl Werner. They married on December 19, 1954, and had four children; Carl Werner, Gary Werner, Edward Werner and Phyllis Werner-who gave her two grandchildren, Brett and Andrew, also one great grandchild, Braden. She enjoyed her work as an accountant, but her real focus in life was her family and her faith in God. She and Carl enjoyed their retirement years spent in Arizona, and their travels which took them all over this continent and even other parts of the world. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2013, at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City.
