Ruby Hall-Gale, 96, of Sun City West, AZ, went on to be with our Lord on October 27, 2017. She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on February 16, 1921 to Grace and Guy McBride. Ruby was raised in Iowa, later lived in New Jersey and Washington State, finally settling in Sun City West after retiring.
During WWII, she worked at Boeing in Seattle as a Rosie the Riveter. Ruby became a dietician and worked in the Washington Township School District for 25 years. She retired in 1985. Ruby belonged to the American Legion since 1979 and was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Ruby loved to dance! We believe dancing, entertaining, playing cards, laughing, friends, family, God and church together was Ruby’s key to longevity. Maybe her good genes played its part too. Ruby was a survivor. She was a very good cook and her pies were in high demand. Her favorite relaxing time was in Las Vegas at Harrah’s where friend Ed arranged the wedding of Ruby and George Gale-the love of her life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Gale; son, Edward Hall; brothers, Ray McBride and Robert McBride and sisters, Dolly smith and Dorothy Moore. She is survived by beloved son, Larry Clark; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous loved and loving nieces and nephews, loving friends, Irene and Ed, and many others throughout her lifetime.
Ruby will leave emptiness in our lives. She celebrated life and now we celebrate her life and the joy and laughter she brought into ours. Death is a new beginning, not and ending for those of us who trust and believe in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
