Shortly after high school, Bob moved to California. From 1956 to 1958, he honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Bob married the love of his life, Joan E. Steere on June 30, 1959 at First Presbyterian Church in Newhall, Ca.
After the Army, Bob worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and he held many assignments until his retirement at age 50.
He attended and graduated from Northridge University in 1976 with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology of Behavioral Science.
Bob earned his pilot’s licenses and owned two airplanes. He also loved the freedom of riding his motorcycles.
Bob drove tour buses for Antelope Valley Tour Company and then he worked for Enterprise Rent a Car in both California and Arizona after moving to Arizona in 2004.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Joan E. “Jody” Steere, his daughter, Kim Bowman and her husband, Jon and his grandchildren, Johnny Bowman and Genevieve Bowman.
A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ.
