Robert J."Bob" Belanger, 82, of Sun City, AZ passed away peacefully on November 29, 2011. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather whom will always be remembered for his “Can Do” spirit. He was born in Boston, MA, on October 16, 1929, and graduated from Boston Trade School. A Korean War veteran, Bob served as a member of the US Navy Construction Battalion “Seabees” until 1954. He was a proud member of Plumber’s Union Local 12 in Boston. He married Roberta Celeste Gallizia in 1956 and settled in Dedham, Massachusetts. In 1978, Bob moved his family to Phoenix, AZ. He worked on the construction of the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Scanlon of Florida, sons: Michael (Lori Hein), James, Richard and Thomas (Marcy), daughter Denise, seven grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfrid O. and Evelyn (Cooper) Belanger, four siblings, Richard, Jeanne, Jacqueline and James, and two wives Roberta (Gallizia), 1993, and Velma (Webb), 2009. A brief memorial service will be held Thursday, December 15th, at 10:00 am at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. Arrangements by Sunland Mortuary, 623-933-0161
