Again, farewell my friend.  You are missed more and more as time goes by.

  I have just noticed this, and my condolences to all the close friends and family members.
  My fathers Lane S. White knew Ralph and I,(Mike White) had the pleasure to meet and talk with Ralph back in the 80's.My dad bought his first Black Widwow from Ralph.As some may know his knowledge and expertise really was priceless and unique.
  We stoped by the house,back in the days once and needless to say his charisma and personality was something to behold. At the gunshows,it was always one of the best times to swing by and admire all the lugers,and get a chance to see him. Ofcourse that was awhile back,but of interest,he always remember me and spent the time to talk.
  He was one of americas "greatest generation" and on my dad and my behalf we just wanted to send our condolences and let everyone know we had some fond memories of Ralph.

Dear Nancy and Family,

As you know I purchased my first Luger from Ralph over 53 years ago.  Never met Ralph,  you or your daughter Nancy until my wife Doreen surprised me with a trip to your home several years ago.  A joyful surprise it was indeed! 

What a pleasure to meet Ralph and you Nancy after so many years of telephone calls and letters.  It was also a joy to see Ralph's beautiful Luger collection.  Many of these Lugers I had admired for years viewing them in various Luger reference books.  It was a pleasure beyond words to actually hold some of these treasured pieces

May God be with you Nancy and your family during this difficult time.  I know that Doreen has called on several occasions to express our condolences.  However, when I saw this opportunity, I wanted to once again on behalf of both Doreen and I express God speed and always remember our thoughts and prayers will remain with you!

PS:  Do you remember the Christmas Cookies my Mother would send you so many, many years ago.

RALPH AND I SERVED ON THE POSSE,AND RODE TOGETHER MANY TIMES IN THE PATROL CAR. NOT ONLY DID I ENJOY WORKING WITH HIM I REALLY ENJOYED HIS FRIENDSHIP AND COMPANY.

I have just learned of Mr. Shattuck's passing. I also bought my first Luger from him about 12 years ago.  Special condolenances to his family.

I just today learned of Ralph's passing.  My wife and I first visited him roughly ten years ago.  Great man and an authority on Lugers.  He will surely be missed and our prayers go out to his family.

Just picked up the phone tonight to ask the advice of Ralph only to learn of his passing.  What a pleasure it was to have known him and I am so saddened to hear this news.  There will never be another luger expert like Ralph.  I am so grateful for the many conversations we had and the information he was always willing to share with me.  What a remarkable man, he will be so missed.

I just learned he passed. So sorry...wanted to do business with his company. He was a hell of an american war veteran and self made man. He will be missed.

I only just now learned of Ralph's passing, I am very sorry. I have always liked Lugers and in 1990 Ralph very kindly invited me to his home and allowed me to videotape his collection. I will always treasure those memories and I offer my sincere condolences to Ralph's family.

I  purchased my first Luger from him and it still remains the focal point of my collection. He was a good man and a asset to the gun community. I shall miss him.

He just smiled and gave me a big wink.

Ralph will forever be talked about at gun shows for years and years to come.

I had the pleasure of talking with Mr. Shattuck a few years ago when, as a novice Luger collector, I decided to make my first purchase.  I nervously called him after seeing a gun show segment on TV in which he was interviewed on Luger history.  He surprised me by being the most friendly, cordial person I could imagine, and took quite a bit of time discussing my collecting goals and gave me a lot of good advice that I still follow on the hobby.  I also purchased my first Luger from him that day, and it still remains the centerpiece of my collection.  My deepest condolences to his family for the loss of such a good person.  The hobby will dearly miss him.

Ralph, was a pioneer; a master of market development; a scholar and agent of change. His legacy will live long after the rest of us pass into memory. 

To Ralph's family, my sympathy. Celebrate his leadership, his life and his love!

I only met Ralph maybe a dozen times, but, I got to know him quite well over the last 13 years. We talked alot, about past experiences, passions, family, life, and the joys and sorrows that go with it...We never did get around to the Luger part.. He was my friend, I will miss him also.. GT

Having had his daughter Nancy as my  friend for 46 years now, I certainly got to know Mr. Shattuck during this time. His passing is like losing a family member to me. He always had a smile on his face and always made me feel like a part of his family. I will truly miss this incredible man, but feel fortunate that our paths crossed in this lifetime. My father in law was larger than life. A man of mystery if you like. A good man. A successful man, a mentor to many but most of all a leader. One to be respected and admired. Hard working ,devoted, a patriot,an American.

Ralph always treat my wife and I with high regard.  Whenever we met, he was friendly and kind; hard to beat that, I considered him my friend.

Back in the 60' Ralph was responsible for my obsession with Lugers,  I traded a G-Date code with him when he lived in Michigan.  I have since sold my Luger collection and moved to Arizona from South Dakota last year.  I wish I would have stayed in contact with him, as I never knew he lived here. A pleasure to have known him. Ralph was like a second dad to me.  I bought my first luger from him and many more.  He would guide me in what I should buy  for my collection. I could alway count on his advice and friendship.  I always looked forword to our phone calls, but most of all when I would visit Ralph and Nancy at there home.  They would take me in like family and we would always share a meal and laughter together.  These are just some special memories I will always have and treasure.  Ralph you will always be missed.

Ralph and Nancy have been patients of our dental for too many years for me to remember. Ralph will always be remembered for his friendliness. He loved his lovely wife Nancy, his children and especially the little grandchildren that added so much happiness to his life. HE BRAGGED ON THE LITTLE ONES EACH VISIT TO OUR OFFICE. We will surely miss him.Loving regards to his wife Nancy and family.   Fran & all the staff.

Ralph was one of our most favorite people to see. He always made us smile. We will never forget him. He was a kind and caring man. From all of us at Dr. Robert Holyoak's office.

Although we only met Ralph and Nancy one while vacationing in Orlando with the Grand Family, they both were sweethearts! The Man was a walking luger Historian. Every luger I own was perchased from him. Ill miss calling on Him on Saturdays. The picture attached was taken in Orlando two years ago.His 'World Of Lugers' is the finest boooooooook on luger markings anywhere.

I bought my first and last from Him personally. No matter when I called He would always have time for me.Afer 7 years Debbie and I met him in Nancy in Orlando. He was tall and cordial. I regret never visiting Him as His home in Peoria but I had a long road surviving a stroke and an exwife in Costa Rico. I wish I had a Father like Him, He was always asking about Ted like an adopted son!

Ralph always had a smile and a kind greeting whenever I went to see him.  His genuine love for people will was what really struck me about him.  He was a great gentleman and friend.  He mentored me when I started my business so he will live on in my heart and thoughts. I loved him like a second dad!  We will really miss him!

RALPH WAS TRULY A "ONE OF ONE" AND IT WAS AN HONOR KNOWING HIM.  WE WILL MISS HIM GREATLY -
