Patricia Jean Halverson, 91, passed away on January 9, 2016. She was born on October 21, 1924 to Laurence and Bernice DeBower in Marshalltown, Iowa. She and her husband Don raised their family in Oelwein, Iowa where she worked part time as a secretary for the community school district. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Halverson. Patricia is survived by two sons, Greg (Linda) Halverson of Kent, WA and Gordon (Barb) Halverson of Conifer, CO. Pat is also survived by her grandchildren, Todd (Leah) Halverson of Georgia; Dave (Ashley) Halverson of Colorado; Adam (Lorraine) Halverson of California; Jeff (Jessica) Halverson of Washington and Lindsey Halverson of Washington and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Keaton, Tanner and Hallee.
A Memorial gathering is planned at Royal Oaks Retirement Community, 10015 W Royal Oak Rd, Sun City, AZ 85351 on Wednesday, January13, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 pm. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein, Iowa, alongside her husband, Donald.
Arrangements are handled by Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, AZ.
