She attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1989, she was married to Johnny Howard Waddey.
Mrs. Waddey was an accomplished business woman and held many professional positions in the banking industry. Mrs. Waddey spent many years working at The Tennessee School for the Blind. She and Johnny moved to Sun City West, Arizona, where she worked at Resolutions Education Services Provider as Administrative Assistant. She dedicated her working career to her husband, Johnny Waddey, so that he would be able to devote his time to leading and building the congregation at West Bell church of Christ.
Mrs. Waddey was a loving, caring, giving person and devoted her life to serving the church and saving souls. She was a life-long member of the church of Christ, having attended the West Bell church of Christ for the past 20 years. Nancy had an urgency to bring salvation to others.
She is survived by her brother, Neal Smith, his wife, Barbara, and daughters Tiara and Tiffany; and, nephew, Eric Smith, his wife, Tammy, and their son, Eric.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny, brother Edward and sister-in-law June.
