

MaryAnn Bowden, 78, of Surprise, Arizona passed away April 21, 2020. She was born on August 9, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to John and Louise (Risco) Cultraro. In 1968, MaryAnn married Nicholas K. Bowden. MaryAnn worked as a Tax Preparer and then, with her love of travel, she became a Travel Agent. After retiring, MaryAnn and Nick moved to Surprise, Arizona. There MaryAnn stayed busy volunteering with the Sun Dancers at the Ballpark in Surprise, marching with the Grandettes Pom-Poms, and volunteering to prepare Tax Returns in Sun City. MaryAnn was also an avid card player, and in her 60s took up Tap Dancing and performed in the Sun City Grande performance of “Chicago”. She also enjoyed gardening and watching her New York Yankees.
MaryAnn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Nick; her children Christa and Nicholas (Canyon); her 3 grandchildren and her sister Camille.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am due the limitations on public gatherings the service will be reserved for family but will be streamed live on the Funeral Home's Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/SunlandMemorial/. The Committal Service will follow at 11:00 am.
