Mary K. Alama, 76 years old, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023. She was born on August 16, 1947, in MN, to Levi and Helen Alama. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Cornelius, and nephews, Chuck, Gary and Steve Cornelius and dear friends. Mary graduated from Sunnyslope High School and earned a BA in Education from ASU. She was a proud educator of 35 years in Washington Elem. School District as a 1st grade teacher and a Special Ed. teacher and advocate at Royal Palm Middle School. Mary had a strong faith and belief in God and was an active member of Desert Springs Bible Church for over 30 years where she enjoyed volunteering there after her retirement.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Sunland Memorial Park.
