Mark Roland Fairall passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Carol, and by his cousins Sandy & Don Fairall.He is predeceased by his parents, Wilbur (Bud) & Evangeline Fairall.
Mark was born in Philadelphia PA and moved here when he was just two years old. He has been a native ever since. He briefly lived in Kingman AZ, graduating from Mohave County Union High School in 1967. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1972, with a B.S. in business. He was a banker following in his father's footsteps. And lived in Phoenix most of his life.
Over the past twelve years, Mark and his wife, Carol, have been senior rights advocates and elder abuse awareness activists. Mark and his wife wrote a monthly column for The Arizona Republic community section entitled "The Aging Of America" for almost six years. Mark has also been posting a Facebook called "The Real Faces Of Elder Abuse" since 2013. He and Carol volunteered to teach at Rio Salado Community College and other venues on travel, coin and ancient Native American Indian class.
Unexpectedly, Mark was hospitalized, and within twenty days, he passed away. He was laid to rest on June 15, 2023, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, Arizona. He helped so many people and touched so many lives that his legacy lives on in helping to prevent elder abuse. He is greatly missed and loved.
