She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on August 10, 1938 to Edwin and Annie Thelma Moody Wagner.
She moved to Chicago in 1961, from Virginia and met and married the love of her life, Marion Theodore Phillips in 1962. In 1979, she moved her family to Phoenix, Arizona
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone. She was fondly known as Marge or Margaret Ann by friends and family.
She loved cooking and baking (especially for others), fresh coffee, sewing, playing all kinds of games, going out to her many favorite restaurants, playing and winning on the slot machines. She especially loved spending time with family and her great grandchildren. She also had a great sense of humor.
She leaves behind her daughter Nancy Jean Phillips Matteo, and her children, Joseph Phillip and Rachel Marie of Holmes, New York, her daughter Judith Anne Phillips Reagan, and her children Jennifer Lynne Floch Bonura (Nick) and Ashley Anne Floch Cardwell (Michael) and their children Vincent Phillip and Emma Michaela and her daughter Brenda Marie Phillips Nelson (Larry) and their children Russell Jay and Michael Shea. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. And with those she left behind, she also passed on a great sense of humor and a love of life.
Margaret Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her son, her brothers James, Harold, Bobby, Richard, her best friend and loving sister, Shelby Jean and her husband, Marion.
A special thank you to the people at Hospice of the Valley for their loving care and support during her final days.
