

Margaret Kathryn (Murphy) Loutherback of Phoenix, AZ passed away on May 29, 2020. The only child of Charles Bebout Murphy (US Navy) and Florence Pauline (Jordan) Murphy was born on June 13, 1929 in Cherokee, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent on a farm near Peterson, Iowa. She graduated from Peterson High School in 1947. Following high school Margaret attended St. Lukes School of Nursing in Denver, CO and graduated in 1951. Her nursing career was in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was an OBGYN Nurse at a Kalispell General Hospital in Kalispell, MT; Maricopa Medical Center (County Hospital) and Maryvale Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, where she spent most of her nursing years and was RN Supervisor of the OBGYN Floor. Margaret was a Nurse for 43 years and retired in 1994.
Margaret married the late Lonnie Warren Loutherback (US Army SGT, Korean War) of Kalispel, MT in 1951 and to this union 3 children survive her – David Charles Loutherback (Betty Burger) of Baxter Springs, KS; Janine Louise (Loutherback) Randall (Mike Randall) of Phoenix, AZ and Jessica (Janet) Lynn Loutherback of Show Low, AZ. Her Companion of 20 years, Robert Lee Jones (US Navy, Retired) of Peoria, AZ. And, four grandchildren, Regina Loutherback and Matthew Loutherback of Entiat, WA; Michael Roy Renfro (USMC, SGT) of Chandler, AZ and Sarah Nicole Tate of Phoenix, AZ; and other relatives and friends.
Margaret had many diverse interests and hobbies throughout her life. She played Piano and Accordion. She was an avid reader, loved sports, traveling, gardening, flowers and animals, with many special feline friends in her lifetime. She was a literacy volunteer for women & children. She enjoyed Investing and was active in Investment Clubs. She was an excellent bowler, competed in tournaments, also serving as Treasurer. She was a great Mother, Grandmother, friend, nurse, coach, teacher and inspiration to all whom knew and loved her.
