Ludean Miller

On April 11, 2023, Ludean Miller, age 89, beloved mother of Sandra and life long loving companion to Levi, passed from this life and joyfully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in 1933, to Benjamin and Olive Carner of Missouri, she was the youngest of seven, and was said by all of her siblings to have been very spoiled. She grew up on the farm, loved and named all the farm animals and enjoyed gardening. In 1948, she met Levi D Miller of Goshen, Indiana. Her father told her that her boyfriend must go to church with her, so he did, and he also came to know Jesus. They married in 1950. Levi worked for Weber’s Baking Company (now Interstate Brands Co), and they moved around with the company to Michigan, Northern Indiana and in 1966 settled in Southern California where they lived for 34 years. Together they helped to establish and support several new churches. She was an active church member, involved in Women’s Ministries, church choir, and taught Sunday school. In 1990 Ludean retired from 3M Dental Division in Irvine CA after 25 years. They sold their home in Orange County CA and moved to Hesperia CA. In 2000 they moved from California to the retirement community of Sun City Arizona. She was strong resilient woman with a fighting spirit and faith and love of God that carried her through life. She is preceded in death by Levi, her husband of 60 years, her parents, Benjamin and Olive, her 7 siblings: Infant sister Freida, older sisters Cecilia Lee Crafton McClary, Rachael Goins, and Jevetta Hancock; and brothers James, John and Paul.

A committal service for Ludean will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sunland Cemetery Garden of Ascension, 15826 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ.
