Leila A. Turner

Leila Angeline Peterson Turner, of Sun City, Arizona, died Saturday, March 3, 2012. A private family Memorial service will be held Monday March 12, 2012 at Grace Bible Church 19820 N 99th Avenue Sun City Arizona. Mrs. Turner was born and raised in Higgins, Texas. She attended West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon, Texas where she met a young Army Air Corps. Cadet named Dick Turner. This began what would become a 69 year love story. Leila was a champion golfer. She won many tournaments including The West Texas State Amateur, the Arizona State Amateur, and the Southwestern Amateur. Survivors include her son, Doug (Maria) Turner, three Grandchildren, Stuart Turner, Kimberly Turner, and David (Autumn) Turner, three Great Grandchildren Bryce Turner, Zoe Turner and Mira Turner.
