Joseph Geoffrey Lawlor went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2023. He was born in England and was 77 years old when he passed away from cancer. Joe and his wife resided in Sun City West. He was predeceased by his mother, Thirza Lawlor, his father, Alex Lawlor, and his brother, Paul Lawlor. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his sister Jennifer Cook of Howell, Michigan, his brother David Lawlor of Peoria, Michael Lawlor of Peoria, and Brian Lawlor of Sun City. He is also survived by six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Joe was in the construction trade during his earlier years and retired from Prescott Valley as a building inspector and plans examiner. He was a very positive, kind and compassionate person with a heart of gold. He was active in his church and also regularly donated blood. He worked with The Pride in Sun City West every week to help maintain the landscape in Sun City West. And if anyone needed help, he was there. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he knew.
We will be having a Celebration of Life for him at Sun City West Christian Church on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 11:00 AM with a luncheon following. If so desired in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maggie’s Hospice in Prescott, AZ or Sun City West Christian Church in Sun City West, AZ.
