Joan M. Connors

Joan was born on March 5, 1929 in Waukegan, Illinois. She treasured her early childhood memories of the Connors family farm in Moline, Illinois. She was a longtime resident of LaGrange Park, Illinois; Phoenix, Arizona; and for the past 25 years, Sun City, Arizona. Joan was preceded in death by her parents John Murray and Cathryn Elizabeth (nee McCarthy); and all of her siblings: Florence Cathryn (Riley), John Murray, Jr., Kathleen Ann, Michael James, and C. Patrick. She is now joyfully reunited with her family in heaven. Joan was a cherished Godmother of three, beloved Aunt of twenty, Great Aunt of forty-eight, and Great-Great Aunt of twelve; all of whom she loved dearly. Joan overcame many hardships and losses in her life and was an inspiration to everyone who was privileged to know her. She lived every day pouring out her unconditional love and compassion for others. Joan has left a lasting impression and will never be forgotten by her loved ones.

A visitation for Joan will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sunland Mortuary.

Followed by a Catholic funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ.

A committal service will occur at Sunland Cemetery Garden of Gethsemane.
