Jo Etta Ledgerwood, 76, of Congress, Arizona passed away July 23, 2021, after a brief illness. Jo was born on December 4, 1944 in Hamilton, Ohio. Jo worked as an Insurance Adjuster out of Colorado, before retiring to Congress, AZ.
One of her passions was writing, and she was a member of several writing groups. In 1990 she won 2nd place in L. Ron Hubbards Writers of the future Volume VI and her short story Flutterbyes, is featured in this book. In 1995 she found herself again being published as a local Colorado writer in the book High Fantastic with her short story, Water Babies. Her love of writing and reading horror and science fiction was always a great joy to her.
Jo is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Michael Louis Ledgerwood; and her Children, Matthew (sp. Barbara) Ledgerwood of Broken Arrow, OK. , Michael Paul Ledgerwood of Tulsa, OK., Michelle (sp. Robert) Morrison of Islamorada, FL., and Marsey (sp. John) Harper of Congress, AZ., her Sister Mary (sp. Richard) Thompson of Towner, N. Dakota, and her grandchildren, Brandy Ledgerwood and Jared Ledgerwood of Tulsa, Ok., Michael Wold and Sarah Hall of Aurora, Co. and Janis Harper of Co.. Numerous nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. All of whom miss her greatly. There is no service planned at this time.
