Janice S. Denton, 79, of Sun City, Az, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, with her husband by her side. Janice was born on March 20, 1944, to Loren and Ellen Burns in Salina, Kansas. Janice is preceded in death by both parents, her brother Ronald Burns, her sisters Pamela Burns and Constance Burns. Janice is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Finace Eugene Denton (Gene), their children, who adored her, Kenneth (Hope), Tami (Charles), James (Shelly) and Danielle (Andrew). She is also survived by 16 dearly loved grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Janice also leaves behind her sisters Doneal Nichols, Sheryl Moore and her brother Richard Burns. Janice has many loving brother and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her. Janice was a born again Christian and tried living her faith in Christ out every day. She was always teaching and sharing her faith with her children, grandbabies and anyone who would listen. She enjoyed helping others, spending time with family, especially her grandbabies. She loved music, singing, dancing, playing games and traveling with family and friends. The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley staff, many friends and relatives for their love, prayers, and support during these past couple of years. While Janice will forever be missed, we take great comfort in the knowledge that Janice is now healed in the arms of Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2023, at 10:30 am at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel.
