Harry C. Carlson

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, Harry C. Carlson of Sun City, AZ, was suddenly called to heaven to dance with the angels. He was a Navy veteran, an engineer on the Los Angeles City Fire Department and a contractor. Born in Denver, Colorado, he grew up in San Francisco.

Harry was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharla Robinson (Michael) and his parents, Harry W. and Alice B. Carlson, both first generation Americans of Swedish parents. Also, he was preceded in death by his children's mothers, Adrene McClure and Patricia S. Carlson.

Surviving is his wife and dance partner for fifteen years, Joan C. Carlson. Also, surviving are two sons: Harry K. Carlson (Kathy) of Reno, NV and Sven Carlson (Susan) of Ecuador; two daughters: Sheila Maclachlan (Bruce) of Swansboro, NC and Kelly Holden (John) of Placerville, CA; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and two step-daughters Briana Sandy and Maureen Sandy.

The funeral will held 10:30 AM, on Friday, October 21st, in Sunland Memorial Park Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Burial will follow at 12:15 PM in Resthaven West Cemetery, on the SE corner of 63rd and Northern Avenues.
