Eric is a wonderful human being:  steadfast and loving father and husband, personification of dignity, powerful and convincing advocate for his beliefs, fun-loving friend and of course the green and yellow running through his veins! 

We will always remember!    A wonderful family man who loved each child and his beautiful wife  deeply!  We know you are watching over your family as you rest in peace in your Heavenly Home! I got to meet and talk with Eric through our jobs and even though it was only for a short while, I got a sense of his incredible character and genuine personality. We were only able to talk for a few minutes at a time, but he always had something to talk about and was always a joy to be around. Eric was a very kind and caring person, and I looked forward to seeing him anytime I could. 
I’ll always remember when my girlfriend and I were on a picnic and he was walking through the park and stopped to chat with us, it was such a great surprise that made a good day better. I’m thankful I got to meet such an honest and caring person and will miss him deeply.

I had the great pleasure of meeting him 1 time and believe me he left an imprint on my heart.  I’m so happy to have gotten to meet him and Kat along with 3 of his children. They were making dinner. And had even offered me to stay for dinner. Want an amazing family. Kat I am here anytime you need me. Even if you just need a friend or a shoulder to cry on.  Love you Kat and your beautiful family. 

I remember the Fabers in Eugene.  There large family was always fun.  I remember Eric taking the Scout group on a tour of their mushroom operation.  The whole family came to Scout camping trips.  There was always a lot going on at the Faber house, they had plenty of great play spaces.  I remember playing bowling and tennis with Eric on a Nintendo Wi on my birthday, the only time I ever played such games.  I remember the older kids helping take care of the younger ones, I am sure they are all taking care of each other now.  We will miss you Eric, you were a Great Father!

Eric was great. Great husband, father, friend and more. He will be missed but not forgotten. Till we meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss. Eric was one of a kind! Great guy, great husband and father and great friend. Smart and witty.  He will be missed.

Oh we loved Eric when she brought him to Ohio when we they first met.  We called him Kiefer like Sutherland with that great mullet!  Loved him then and will love him forever.  Thank you Eric for taking care of my Kathy, her family( loved the Liz pic) and your beautiful children!  

I admired Eric for his sincere candor and genuine character. You could always trust his views and he had no guile in him. I am honored to have called him a friend and mentor.

No words can express the sorrow and heartbreak that I feel for all of you. During this very difficult transition I pray you all find comfort and strength in each other and reflect on the endless memories as a family. What a beautiful, cohesive space  you and Eric created ; his legacy will live on in each of you.
His Spirit will always be walking beside you all, with guidance, protection and love.

I worked with Eric for a few years and he always  made me smile. He adored his family and always went out of his way to make the work day better. I am so saddened by his loss and all my thoughts and best wishes to the family in this very sad time. 

I worked with Eric for a couple of years and he was a great boss. He loved his family and was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. He will be greatly missed.

Kat, I am at a loss for words. I send you and the kids all my love. Eric always had a smile for me when I brought Tony over or picked him up.  He was a kind and gentle presence.  I am grateful for him and your family.  Nick you are an amazing friend, I see your dads kindness in you. Hugs to all of you.

Growing up I spent a lot of time at the Faber’s house. Eric was always so kind and welcoming to me. He taught me the cool trick of putting a flour tortilla around a hard shell while eating tacos. My favorite memory was back in 2016 I believe when I was there for the summer Daphne and I brought home leftover salads after overeating. It was 3 am when we decided to eat them again, I snuck into the kitchen to get them from the fridge when Eric came out in a robe questioning what we were doing at 3am. He held up 3 fingers in front of his face as he asked. I replied oh just eating our salads, he rolled his eyes, chucked, and went back to bed. Eric gave out awesome dad hugs whenever I visited the Faber house. He will be missed by the Cottrell family ♥️

Dear family.  I am so sorry that I cannot be to Eric's  service but you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Eric was one of my favorite nephews and I will think of him often he was always so smart and I learned more riding back and forth with him 95 mph he would scare me to death but I just enjoyed his company very much  Eric was more like a son to me than a nephew being in this company even if I was going 95 miles an hour in a car with him he could get himself to and fro really easy drinking a pop while he was hanging out the window and I'm pushing the floorboard in. One time when I was living with the Fabers in Eugene and my little blue Toyota I had had broken down on the side of the highway. I immediately called Eric and he was there in less than 30 minutes and helped take care of the towing and other arrangements. I had a very young (maybe 2 or 3 years old) Phoebe and Philip in the back seat of my car when it broke down but I knew that regardless of whether or not I had them he would have been there just as quick. That’s the kind of man he was, always willing to help and going out of his way even when inconvenient to make sure the people in his life were taken care of. It wasn’t the first nor the last time Eric had been there for me in a time of need and I knew his selfless nature was one of a kind. 

Dear Kathy and Family, I am truly heartbroken to hear of your profound loss.  I have enjoyed following Kathy's wonderful Facebook posts and seeing all of the joy and love that Eric brought to your lives.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
