Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Gress

Betty had 3 siblings and 2 children (Tom and Julie) whom she loved so dearly. She worked most of her life from a child helping out at the hotel in Athens all the way to Senior Vice President of Family Savings and Loan in Brookfield, WI.

When she retired, she met Peter who she married in 1987. They built a home together in Brookfield, Wisconsin, lived there 7 years, then sold that house, packed up, moved to Sun City West, AZ and then Sun City.

She has traveled far and wide, from camping trips to boating trips and many countries around the world. Picnicking along a river somewhere in Alaska, swimming through a cave in Mexico, to seeing the sites in Russia or Greece. She was willing to go anywhere and try something once.

You never would have seen her without her hair done, polished nails, and jewelry complementing any outfit that she put great thought and care picking out.

She and Peter joined the German American Mardi Gras Society and it was her life for many years in AZ. She met so many nice people, made wonderful friends and had such a great time dancing and singing the nights away.

In memory of a life so beautifully lived, a heart so deeply loved.

A funeral service for Betty will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 North Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
