Derek Greg Simpson passed away September 28, 2012 at age 55 but not without a courageous battle against cancer. Soul mates, Derek and Denise were fortunate enough to reconnect and though short lived; they shared an amazing last few years together fulfilling many lifelong dreams. Derek is preceded in death by his father James Simpson. And He leaves behind his wife Denise Simpson, his 3 children JT (Meghan) Smith, Adam Simpson, and Amber Simpson. He also leaves behind his mother Marilyn Simpson, Sister Tracy Harris, Brother Darin Simpson, and Lane Simpson. Derek had two grandchildren Levi and Josie; one nephew Kyle and one niece Kayla. He also had a great nephew Tanner Harris and many aunts, uncles, cousin and friends. Derek had two compassions in his life BMX bikes and motorcycles. He worked in the construction field the majority of his life and was V.P. of Construction for Sonoran Concrete. Derek will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Memorial service will be held Saturday October 6, 2012 at 10:00am located at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary.
