David is survived by his Mother and Father, Grandfather Alva Mankin, Sister Angela Milne, Nephew Brook Gallego, Niece Mariah Gallego, and Great Niece Raegan Anderson.
David was a graduate from Dale High School and went on to earn his Bachelors in Science in Business Accounting and Masters in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. David was a purchasing manager at Verco Decking and enjoyed his job and the people there very much. He was highly intelligent however one of the most down to earth human beings.
Some may know him as David, Dave, Davey, Big D, or our favorite Uncle Dooey. When you hear, “he would give you the shirt off his back,” it is not an expression but in fact the exact truth about Davey. He cared so much for everyone in his life. He wanted to make everyone happy. I can recall a conversation with him about doing so many things for so many different people no matter how big or small, he said “I don’t do it and expect anything in return seeing my friends and family happy is gratification enough for me.”
Something everyone shared with Davey was humor. I can say with 100% confidence that everyone has a story about something hilarious that happened to them and Dave or an inside joke between just the two of you or even a group. He had a way of making you feel at home. He could be knee deep in chores or working on a long to do list and if you were to just pop up or call to hang out, he would be excited to sit and visit and spend time, you would become his first priority.
We know Davey will not be lost or forgotten. We are all experiencing our stage of grief and we will all continue to think of him in every decision, act, or thought. Remember his smile and use his outlook on life to pay tribute to his memory in the future.
He impacted all of our lives in a very special way. Our entire family thanks you for taking part in celebrating his life.
